Scott Kominers is the Associate Professor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurial Management at Harvard Business School. His love for math started with a research project on quadratic form representation theory.
“It’s like it’s always been there; you just didn’t know how to express it.”
Through his high school research project, Kominers got into the world of mathematics, which later led him to discover his deep interest in economics. Now, he teaches courses on market design to students at Harvard University, investigates the optimization of economic systems to vaccine allocation and other pressing problems, and writes a column of original puzzling conundrums.
